From church services, to school ceremonies, to drive-in movie events, our radio transmitter solutions will exceed your expectations!

Why FM Radio?

  • Leveraging an FM radio transmitter will offer your attendees an incredibly customizable experience.
    • Allows each vehicle to set their own volume.
    • Allows listeners to roll their windows up giving them the option to run their heat or air conditioning without interfering with audio clarity.
    • Guarantees everyone hears everything at the exact same time, critical to audience engagement.
    • Perfectly synchronized audio with your outdoor PA speakers.
    • Everyone already has an FM radio receiver in their vehicle.
    • Unbeatable simplicity!

Is it legal?

  • If done correctly, absolutely!
  • To maintain legal compliance, an FM transmitter must be certified by the Federal Communications Commission.
    • Note: Almost all FM transmitters sold on eBay or Amazon are NOT certified and can subject you to fines starting at $10,000.
Even purchasing a transmitter from a reputable vendor does not guarantee is can be legally used in the United States.
  • Don't just look for the FCC logo, verify the FCC certification number. Our transmitter FCC certifications can be found here: https://fcc.report/FCC-ID/MCHMS-100

Why Not Just Stream Over the Internet?

  • Streaming audio definitely has its advantages but...
    • A reliable Internet connection must be available for your broadcast.
    • Each listener must also have a reliable Internet connection to hear your broadcast.
    • Each listener will need to download the required apps and configuring their own devices.
    • Listeners will experience a delay in your audio as it travels over the Internet, a phenomenon called latency. The latency of a stream can range anywhere from several seconds to nearly a minute depending on the streaming service chosen.
    • Each listener will also hear your audio at different times depending on the quality of their Internet connection and how much buffering their device requires.

Broadcast Coverage

  • Our FM transmitters leverage the highest power permitted by the Federal Communications Commission
  • We place our transmitter and antenna in the middle of your audience area to ensure the best coverage possible
  • In most cases we can cover about 200,000 square feet (about 700 parking spaces)
    • Note: A football field has an area of less than 58,000 square feet

Ensuring the Best Possible Signal

  • Simply picking a quiet spot on your radio dial may not be enough.
  • We perform a detailed site survey using sophisticated equipment to "look" at the frequency spectrum to identify the best location on the FM dial for your broadcast.
  • Carefully selecting a clear frequency will improve your broadcast range, help prevent interference from other transmitters, and most importantly, will ensure your event does not impact commercially licensed FM broadcast stations.

Commercial Grade Broadcast Equipment

  • USA Legal FM Radio Transmitter
    • FCC part 15 and Industry Canada Bets-1, RSS-210 & RSS-123 certified
  • Professional audio signal processors automatically adjust the amount of audio signal fed to the transmitter to ensure your listeners clearly hear your voice with perfect detail
  • Stereo audio is supported to ensure the most immersive experience possible

Interfacing with Your Equipment

We can often add FM broadcast capabilities to your existing audio system or, if you prefer, we can provide both complete PA and FM broadcast systems in one comprehensive turn-key solution.
